Geburtstag!

Yay! its Drew's Birthday today!

To celebrate i've posted a preview of the next Gaby book, Changes, that you can access by clicking the pic.

Whilst its not very long I'm sure you'll appreciate this little excerpt which should eventually be covered mid way through the new volume which i'll be writing with a vengeance in the next few weeks!

Update

As Drew's next birthday approaches it's a sharp reminder that the year is well under way and all that stuff I talked about back in January actually needs me to pull my finger out to have and chance of being fulfilled. So just what have I been doing for the last few weeks if not writing? I have to admit that I have spent a lot of time planning my summer trip to Denmark - finding campsites, looking up points of interest, booking flights - well holiday type things for me an' Foxy! That pretty much took up January and now we are into month two its training for the spring trip to the Spreewald that has been taking my spare time. Add into the mix some trying times at work and you find me mentally exhausted with little real spare time to write.

that doesn't mean that i've done nothing else, a German language version of one of my non fiction tomes came out in January and i've been digitalising some of the 20,000 plus slides sitting in my bedroom! All this doesn't excuse my lethargy but at least you know i'm still here!

As you may therefore surmise from the above I've nothing new of my own to offer but instead I have the latest chapter from Sharp in the Half Term Break cycle.

News

Is it really a month since the last update? I guess so. There's not a lot to tell - and hasn't been hence the long gap since the last update.

This time there's new Warsop and more Half Term but alas that is the total on offer for now.

New Year

Welcome to 2011! Whilst I've no new scribbles to post myself this week I have a busy writing schedule lined up as well as a rapidly filling diary! Let's give you a quick outline of what to expect;

April Spreewald Marathon trip

July / August Summer trip to Denmark

September Gabycon 2011

December Weihnachtsmarkt trip

So that's the main events calendar, now as far as writing is concerned I'm already working on Gaby Book 8 which I hope to debut at the Gabycon in September. That doesn't mean you have to wait till then for new Gaby, I hope there will be a few one off Gaby shorts in the intervening period which may well be illustrated too.

I'm also looking to give you more from Nena, at least one more Jamie & The Peach book, more Photo Opportunity and the next book of my opus, Anja & The Druid. There may be more and bear in mind that whilst this is what I hope to do I can't promise it will all happen.

I've got several non fiction projects on going too, there's another collection of historic vehicle pictures, a planned archaeology guide, a brace of cycle route guides and of course my annual holiday treatise.

Don't think too badly of me if things slip, somewhere in the remaining time I have to earn a living and sleep, train for the Spreewald and do the laundry!

For this week the scribbles are again restricted to another from Sharp - part 48 of Half Term.
